Bruce Redstone is a Toronto based photographer, specializing in portrait and event photography. He is an Honors graduate of the Creative Photography Program at Humber College, one of the finest and most demanding photography programs in Canada, where his teachers included Rob Allen, Johann Sorenson, David Scott, Cathy Bidini, and others. As well, he has completed many workshop courses in various aspects of photography. His photography has been highly acclaimed, winning the Narvali Award for Best Portrait Portfolio, Honorable Mention in the Humber College Juried Art Show, two awards of acceptance in the Professional Photographers Of Canada Annual, and has had photos published by Canadian Press, CTV, the Shmap Toronto Guide, as well as numerous features, including many cover photos, published in Snapd Newspaper- North Toronto and North York editions. He was the subject of a feature article in the July 2011 issue of Photozoom magazine. From 2010 to 2015, Bruce was photographer with Snapd Newspaper North Toronto, and was Editor and Publisher of the paper from 2012 to 2015. During that time, Snapd North Toronto won the 2013 Best Community Newspaper In The GTA Award from Top Choice Awards, and the 2015 OACAO Print Media Award of Merit. Bruce has done photography for Stern Cohen Accountants, SOULidified, All Canadian Storage, ReMax Ultimate, Integrated Healthcare Practitioners Magazine, The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, The Orpheus Choir, and many others. Bruce also teaches photography in the Media Communications program at Humber College in Toronto. He is a member in good standing of the News Photographers Association of Canada (NPAC).
